Doctrine and Covenants 51 | 1 The law of consecration was given in D&C 42:30-39, and this revelation gives instruction to Bishop Edward Partridge on some particulars of how to implement the law among the Saints. As observed in D&C 42:30-39, the specifics provided here show that the Saints are not currently held to the law of consecration regardless of covenanting to live according to the law when receiving their temple endowment. |
